If Only People Knew!
I was discussing Life On Wheels with my sister and she said “If people only knew about Life On Wheels they would surely support you!”
Then she told me, “I don’t know why I am saying this to you, but I think I need to”…and she quoted Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” My people. Babies. Moms. Dads. Siblings. Grandparents. Friends.
Babies who never fulfill their God-given potential. Moms who are stalked by regret; often many years later. Dads who paid for the abortion, and pushed for the abortion, and now deal with the guilt. Siblings and Grandparents who have a hole in the family. Friends who mourn with those involved and wish they could have done more.
Every week in Montgomery, Alabama babies are destroyed. Spring Break week there were fifty women who entered the abortion clinic on Monday and Tuesday. Fifty. In two days. If you can’t feel it or see it, it must not be real, right? Because of the lack of knowledge that it is really a baby in there, not a clump of cells – babies perish.
When women go through with the abortion their transparency with their friends, family, and co-workers is destroyed. It is the secret shame that one in four women carry. Did you read that? One in four. Look around you! In every church, restaurant, classroom, workplace. 25% of the women you see have had an abortion.
It destroys the baby. It destroys our society.
